I am an experienced speaker (in fact I’ve been speaking since I was very young) and I offer a range of school visit opportunities including:
Author Visits (all primary levels): This is where I discuss how I became a writer, including humorous tales from my childhood that have become the inspiration for my books. Sessions anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes in length. Covers the writing process from inspiration to the final product. May include readings from published work or work in progress.
Writing Workshops (for primary, or secondary students): Writing workshops can be custom made for the needs of your students. They range from one-off workshops, up to 90 minutes in length, through to a series of workshops over a term. Specific workshops available include: Writing great characters; Story structure; Descriptive writing; The best snacks to eat whilst writing.
Rates for author visits/workshops are in accordance with the Australian Society of Authors’ (ASA) recommended rates. You can view these rates here (under public appearance): https://www.asauthors.org/rates-and-conditions

Testimonials “Today Nathan Luff shared his love for books with our students. Nathan’s passion for literature is indeed infectious. His ability to engage every student is outstanding. As a teacher I was also hanging on Nathan’s every word as he shared stories about his youth, which are woven into his books. An inspiring and interesting educator, author and individual – Thank you again Nathan!” St Mary’s Primary School, North Sydney
“You were brilliant. The kids and teachers loved you. Thank you so much for visiting us.” Blessed Sacrament School, Clifton Gardens, NSW
“Thanks so much for coming and talking to us yesterday. I think that you are truly inspirational!” Blessed Sacrament School, Clifton Gardens, NSW
“We just came home from school and bought your new Chicken Stu book – already read 5 chapters – you’re the best.” Student, Altona Meadows Primary School, Victoria
“Nathan had us all laughing and inspired many of the students to try and find the born storyteller within themselves. I have to tell you that I was on duty at lunch break today and I saw about 20 students huddled under trees READING! I’ve never seen that before at Auburn.” St John’s Primary School
